Dr. Lindsay Borovay is a registered clinical psychologist and Director of Borovay Psychological Services. She has been working in the private practice setting since 2008. Dr. Borovay is committed to enhancing the well-being of children, adolescents, adults, and families by addressing their emotional, behavioural, academic, and relational needs. She uses evidenced-based approaches and works from a “whole child/individual” and systems perspective to address the presenting concerns; it is important to understand the emotional experience before behavioral outcomes can be addressed. Dr. Borovay recognizes that parenting and managing relationships can be challenging. She understands the complexity of having to regulate oneself and manage personal stressors, while simultaneously having to care and support loved ones. In her work, Dr. Borovay strives to address caregivers’ struggles in their attempt to parent, overcome obstacles in their children's academic/social milieu, and in their professional/personal lives. These struggles are compounded by the presence of anxiety, depression, learning disabilities & ADHD, to name a few. She offers psycho-educational and psychological assessment and treatment for individuals and their families.

Dr. Borovay received her Bachelor's Degree (Honours) from Queen's University and her Master's Degree and Ph.D., from McGill University. She has worked both within the hospital and school setting. Her previous work experiences at the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) have provided extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families dealing with various psychological and psycho-social difficulties. Dr. Borovay has also worked within the school system, at the Lester B. Pearson School Board in Montreal, where she provided assessment, intervention, counselling and consultation to teachers, parents, and students at both the elementary and high school level.
